DELAUNEY DIES OF HEART FAILURE
An article about Luc Delauney, husband of 'black widow' Nefertari (Blaise's mother), dying of heart failure. The article focuses firstly on Delauney's career and life, but does mention the fact that his wife has had a string of rich husbands, most of whom have died from illnesses connected to failure of the respiratory system. The tone is not accusatory, simply stating facts, but these facts clearly point to one obvious assumption.

OLD SLYTHERIN STILL KNOWS HOW TO THROW A PARTY
Society pages type article about Horace Slughorn's party. Mention of some of the people in attendance, the exotic food served and the opening of the potions laboratory. Slightly gossipy.

All The Advice You'll Ever Need!
Column by Gilderoy Lockhart

It is with great pleasure that I am taking up the pen again for another entertaining, informative, and life-changing instalment of my column. I know many of you have been waiting as patiently as possible to hear from the golden pen of yours truly again, and I am so happy to tell each and every one of you that you need wait no longer! Gilderoy Lockhart has once again graced the pages of The Prophet with his wisdom, and his fans and followers can finally receive a reward for their patience.

And what a reward that is! Why, I don’t know if I’ve ever written anything quite so deep and intellectual since writing my autobiography!

I received this letter from a concerned citizen, and thought it ought to be addressed first and foremost before any of the others.

Dear Gilded Heart,

As a long-ago student of Hogwarts it saddens me that many of the values taught by the dear old school seem likely to be forgotten. In particular, it seems unfortunate that the old houses seem to be fading from memory.

Can you suggest any ways in which we can recover some of this lost glory?

With thanks,

Former Slytherin

Well, the first thing I think I should mention is the distinct possibility that things have progressed to the point where we must take drastic measures in order to address these drastic times.

First, I would like to encourage each and everyone out there to take pride in their houses, and feel free to sport their colours! Spring is in the air, and it’s a lovely time of year to get out wearing your favourite green and silver, yellow and black, blue and bronze, and red and gold! These colours mean more to us than just a change in wardrobe, my friends, fans, and comrades. They are our pride, and our masthead! Our flag to wave in the face of any adversity - even the kind that might seek to remove our precious families.

And yes, our houses are our families. There are some of you out there who have no parents, no siblings, nobody left in the world that shares the same blood as you. But you have your housemates, your alumni, and your alma mater!

In the case of the new school, I think the most effective action would be to send a letter to the person in charge of the school. Whoever is coordinating things should be informed of your concerns. Perhaps draw their attention to the fact that in this post-war time, our society has more than its share of orphans, and to deny them that sort of family environment might be considered at best, a disadvantage for them, and quite possibly just cruel.

Remember, everyone. You have friends out there! You have family! Even if everyone else is gone, your housemates will always remain true. And if you have never attended school, that still doesn’t prevent you from choosing a favourite team! If you don't have anything in your school colours, or your favourite team's colours, The Gildery Shoppe in Stoatshead Hill offers a wide line of custom robes dyed to match any colour the customer fancies."
