Eleanor was lying in bed with a book when the owl came. She tossed back the blankets and padded to the window to let it inside. She wasn't sure what to think when she read Ernie's letter. She was glad that he seemed to be in much better spirits, and it was good to know when she could expect him back. However, she was feeling very confused for the most part. Her mind was swimming with questions, though she supposed that with the little she already knew about Ernie's family, and the information in the letter, she could put the pieces together. She really didn't like where her mind was leading her. Good Merlin, did Ernie's mother expect him to marry the woman of her choosing and stay there for good?

With a furrowed brow, Eleanor made her way to her desk, pulling out a sheet of parchment as she mulled Ernie's letter over. Shaking her head slightly, she sat down and began to write.
