Tracey received Terry's invitation as she was going over a letter to her solicitor, telling them of her acquisition of the house between 1st and Gamma

Excellent! Look forward to seeing you, and please do invite Adrian and Marcus. I sent invites to everyone living in Copper Towers, so they'll probably get their own.

Ben wants me to tell Violet that there will be pirate treasure to find, so if you could pass along that message.

Blaise read the invite over for a second time. He wasn’t sure he could afford to say no. And in truth he wouldn’t have questioned accepting it, but for the mention that children were welcome to spend the night. He’d been entertaining images of getting Terry drunk New Year’s and then dragging him off for that research he’d mentioned in response to Terry’s Christmas present. But he doubted that would be possibly if the wizard’s son was around

Mandy smiled as she saw the letter sail in through her open window as if it was carried in the clutches of an invisible owl. She plucked it out of the air and did not need to recognise the handwriting to know who sent the letter. No one else she knew made use of the charm, and she thought about getting Terry to teach it to her some time in the future. It would give Moeko a break when she had been out on a long flight.

You know I would love to come and I'll be sure to bring some refreshments along. If Zach has already owled you saying he can't make it, just ignore him. It's his boring way of making a joke and I'll make sure he puts in an appearance at the party. See you then!

She had managed to get off the shift at the Five Alarm on New Year's Eve, finishing up just before the big party they were having, and this party seemed to be more her style. Although she had no plans to drink this time. Her face still flushed as she remembered how much she embarrassed herself in front of Roger

Su was very surprised to see a piece of parchment sail through her open window. Plucking it out of the air, she opened it, quickly scanning the letter. Putting it down, her first thought was that Terry must have sent the invitation to the wrong person. Su had not been particularly close to Terry in school, although he knew who she was, which was more than most of their classmates. But she hadn't even known he was in Stoatshead Hill, let alone in Copper Towers...which showed just how much she enjoyed hiding in her flat. Rereading the invitation, Su realized that Terry had sent them to everyone who lived in Copper Towers. Well, this would be a good opportunity to be more sociable...although she had never been to a New Year's Eve party. The idea was a bit daunting. Come on, Su Picking up a quill, Su quickly wrote a response, before she lost her nerve.
