It was nice having a project. The hours passed quickly and it gave Hermione somewhere to focus her energy. She'd also been thinking so much lately that it was easier to sleep for a few hours a night now, which was very good. There was so much to be done before they could even really start anything, though, so she was doing her best to get a lot of necessary but not quite enjoyable things finished as quickly as possible.

Already this morning, she'd met with a witch who lived in Bath and had a nice collection of Astronomy and Divination texts. It had, of course, been a meeting where she'd had to bite her tongue to keep from offering her opinions on the latter. However, she'd been successful in gaining permission for that collection to be copied for the library as well as several more popular texts for use in her store for sale. Then there had been a meeting with a Muggle solicitor about the printing press and supplies, which had gone rather favorably. She wouldn't have a definite answer until early next week, most likely, but she'd been pleased with the meeting. There had also been a trip to two Muggle bookstores, where she'd eyed the layouts, made mental notes about what worked and didn't, and compared the prices of various books.

When she arrived back in Stoatshead Hill, it was just past eleven. Instead of going straight home to figure out what to do next, she walked to Socks. Ron kept encouraging her to get out more and be open to actually interacting with people. She wasn't very fond of the idea, honestly, but she knew he worried and Harry was enough of a worry for them both. So, she'd eat lunch in the quieter pub of the two she'd visited and even be friendly (or somewhat, at least) should anyone approach her. If only so she could go home and tell Ron about her efforts.

She took a seat at a table near the back, where people might not see her. Sure, she'd speak to them if they approached her but it wasn't necessarily bad to make sure she was somewhat hidden. Ron would never know that detail, after all. Once she was seated, she ordered a glass of water with ice and pulled out her notebook. She'd order food after she got the ideas out of her head.
