Summary: Florean finds somewhere to set up his dairy.
Completion: Complete

The place was a little run-down, but it was perfect. Nothing that a few thorough cleansing spells wouldn't set right, and Florean was practically itching to do some proper magic after seven years. Since he'd been in the Muggle world, he'd been forced to keep his magic usage to small things for fear of attracting unwanted attention to either himself of his family. After finding out that buildings were basically free to claim, Florean had been delighted - that meant he could invest more money into the business and therefore set up shop a fair deal quicker, even within the next couple of weeks.

The building had even been a dairy, once upon a time, and it wouldn't take much to convert it back. There was plenty of room for the livestock that he had purchased, and now that he had somewhere to house them, he could move them in. A couple of staff would come in handy for milking and taking care of the animals, but Florean knew it would still be a taxing job on him; it would probably be best to hire a manager for the pub to help Harriet, especially with the busy Christmas season just around the corner: they needed to put decorations up at the weekend.

Rubbing his hands together to keep warm, Florean smiled at the building in front of him. He'd put a couple of minor wards to keep other people out, but they could easily be broken by the right person, he suspected. There was nothing valuable in the building, anyway. The only thing that was missing was a sign, and Florean had the perfect one.

It had once adorned the front of his shop in Diagon Alley, a sign that he had rescued a few years back. Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. While the place wasn't strictly going to be just an ice cream parlour, it would certainly do its job of letting people know who was back in town. Satisfied that it was in place, Florean added another ward on the building to be certain and Disapparated back to Newton Poppleford: life never stopped at the pub and there a certain teenage girl who as expecting him to play the taxi driver.
