The Obligatory Birthday Post...
Soooo...today's my 19th birthday. Yay! You know, 19th doesn't really feel much different than my 18th, or even 17th birthdays, but it seems like next year, when I turn "the big 2-0," that'll feel REALLY different than being 19. Probably because this is the last of my "-teen" years; otherwise, I don't know how else to explain it. It's like 17-18-19 all kind of mesh together (with the minor exception of 18, since then you're an adult who can buy porn and cigarettes and lotto tickets [none of which I've actually purchased in the 365 days since turning legal, though] and vote [which I have done--twice!--since turning 18]), but then when you hit 20, it's, like, whoa!! I'm never going to be a teen again! Fuck, I'm OLD!
God, I'm making this sound worse than it is, eh? Myabe I'm just being bitter since I haven't gotten even one effin' card from my extended family, and my birthday meal last night (my mom picked a surprise restaurant for me) wasn't very good.
So anyways, happy birthday to me.
Now I can go up to Canada and get legally shit-faced. Woot.
