STEELERS WIN, STEELERS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chirst on a cracker and Zeus almighty, the Stillers are going to the Super Bowl!!!!! Woot!!!! I NEVER get this excited about football (hockey, yes, but football, never). But I really want to see Jerome Bettis win a Super Bowl in his hometown of Detroit. That'd be sweet!!
So...anyways...
Saw "Brokeback" last night, anf it was mighty fine. My mom came with me, and she said she thought it was kind of boring in some parts, but overall, she liked it. And there's a Rufus Wainwright song in it that I didn't know about; Rufus always makes for a good surprise. :-D And beautiful scenery (yes, I consider Jake Gyllenhaal to be part of the beautiful scenery, too). The ending confused me a little--but I won't say anything about it, in case some of you are planning to see it. But Jake Gyllenhaal was GORGEOUS as usual...until he got older and his character grew a mustache. Ew, ew, ewwies!! Jake Gyllenhaal should never, EVER grow a mustache. Not a good look for the kid.
Then again, I don't like any facial hair on men (I say clean-shaven all the way!), and especially NOT mustahces. They look too...1970s, I guess.
Speaking of which, I heard once that people are generally more likely to trust a clean-shaven man over a man with facial hair--which is why most politicians are clean-shaven. Think about it. How many politicians can you count with facial hair? Okay, so Lincoln had himself a dynamite beard, but I mean RECENT politicians. The only one I can think of off-hand is Jon Corzine--former Senator from New Jersey, and now the Governor of NJ. Other than that...nope, can't think of any Sens. or Reps. or Govs. or any other political figureheads with facial hair.
Finally, I found a hockey quote that made me laugh. It's kind of old (well, from this past summer). I was googling Noah Welch, since he is my new favorite Baby Pen (and he has a Facebook account, haha) and I foudn this:
