The world my great-grandparents grew up in was marginally changed from that of their progenitors. The change curve has gotten progressively steeper ever since, to the point that my children's reality is radically different from that when I was their age.

Folks in town, work is insane, crazy busy on all fronts. Checked out the house on Saturday and then again with the family on Monday, talked with the construction manager about appliances and walkthroughs/orientations. Almost have Niko saying "gamma" and "gampa", but not quite.

Muffitt's still asleep. The boo and I are hanging out in the sunny living room munching on a lazy breakfast of whatever we found in the pantry. Playing a Delerium remix CD and cracking up while Niko, with a silly grin, bounces his head up and down to the music. I love Saturdays.

Niko's latest obsession is this book. No matter where it is in the pile he'll dig around, find it, and bring it to me or his mom to read to him. He loves it.

The Boo

Is amazing. He's learning too fast. I taught him to clap by hold his wrists and clapping his palms together, and he very quickly started grabbing my wrists to clap my hands together.
