tl;dr On Thursday 18th October 2014 at roughly 4pm Sector 7 was struck by an extreme hailstorm which destroyed our patio roof and caused some water damage to the ceiling. Also apologies for timey wimey vagueness and possible cruelty to tenses. Spoons have not been in good supply lately.

In the interests of full disclosure I feel I should declare that I'm not feeling the weather love right now. For the non-locals we have a humungous unseasonal storm supposed to descend in the next two hours, but the Magic Rain-Detecting Bodyparts(tm) are having none of it.

On the day these pictures were taken Perth experienced some of its most spectacular thunderstorms, including the whole Summer's average rainfall in one hour. (Or was it half? A lot, anyway). These are not particularly stormy or shots of dramatic lightning, but as a fan of clouds I like them.
