Late afternoon Perth 24 April 2012. The sunset colours kicked up several gears after I took these but my batteries had gone flat by then. I chose to stay outside and enjoy the show as it changed from moment to moment. I'm surprised there aren't more sunset time lapses out there. I'd probably be less surprised if I actually bothered to go looking.

Lots of interesting goings-on in the sky this afternoon. I missed out on some of the more delicate formations (I chose not to attempt to capture them from a moving car with a phone camera) but there were still interesting things going on by the time I got home. Enjoy.

Really starting to feel the rollercoaster side effects of using amitriptyline as pain relief. Yesterday got hit by depression (as anticipated - I was actually pleased it held off as long as it did) and then had a sleepless night last night/this morning with gradually increasing all-over jitters. If one is awake at dawn one may as well check it out. Then grab a camera and make the neighbours nervous. One day I must document the view of the sky (or lack thereof) from my back yard, and then you'll see why I hang about in my driveway staring at the sky. In my pajamas. I'm a quiet neighbour, and mostly keep to myself. Mostly.

On the day these pictures were taken Perth experienced some of its most spectacular thunderstorms, including the whole Summer's average rainfall in one hour. (Or was it half? A lot, anyway). These are not particularly stormy or shots of dramatic lightning, but as a fan of clouds I like them.

There was some interesting weather kicking around Perth yesterday (10 Oct 2011). Not much of it landed anywhere near Sector 7, but it did make for a gorgeous sunset sky. I hope you enjoys these pictures.
