It's only a few days
I haven't been updating you guys, I'm so sorry =( The amount of stuff I have to do has increased exponentially in the past week or so, and following a night of complete denial I am positively stressing out. Our four-week research project is coming to a close, so I've been wrangling with data and spreadsheets and statistics for the past few days. I have numbers coming out of my ears and all the way to timbuktu. Katie and I counted a grand total of 9,255 diatom valves, identifying among them 34 genera and 117 species. There appears to be some significant trends in diatom species diversity, population, and water conditions. The relevance? I'll post my paper... if I ever get it finished. Of course, I'm sure it may not be the most interesting read, but I figured I may as well share what has absorbed my life for the past month. =P
I do have lots to tell you since my last real update, including the Sugar Island camping adventure, the Algae derby, canoeing in Pleasantview swamp (it was really a nice view), Sturgeon bay sunsets, Legs Inn, a popular live music venue completely unique from any place I've ever experienced, Mary country and Sacred Heart, the camp Talent Show...the list goes on and on. It'll take me a while to catch up so I'm going to have to put it off until I can finish my paper. =( I just wanted to let you all know that I really miss you and am looking forward to coming home - to see you all, and for some sleep at last.
Research symposium in two days, my paper is not written yet...my presentation isn't ready... I am freaking out.
