Oh man. Help me out, flist. I'm looking for flights to Lima right now, and I can't decide! The problem is that return flights are usually cheaper, so I should decide if I want a direct flight back home in November. November! Not only is that ten months from now, I'm still thinking about stopping by Chicago on the way back and attend the Supernatural Creation Convention from November 14 to 16. It'll certainly be my only chance to attend any convention (in the US) at all, since Chicago's sort of on the way from Lima to Frankfurt. Well, not quite, it depends on the airline, but it's cheaper than flying over seperately.

Now I got an offer from a travel agency for a flight Frankfurt - Lima and back for roughly 1100 Euros (with Lufthansa); and another offer from an online agency that has a return flight via Chicago for roughly 1200 Euros (with Delta). And I want to go to that convention, I really do, but I'm so afraid of a various things. What if the convention gets cancelled? What if there's absolutely nobody there who I know, and I have to spend the weekend alone? What if nobody wants me to room with them at the hotel? If you know me, then you know I don't make new friends easily, especially not in a big crowd of chattering fans.

My sister says I should just do it anyway, and if it doesn't work out for some reason, I could have a few nice days in Chicago.

Since making a poll is my ultimate solution to every question I have, here you go.

ETA: Also, rather than reading long stories, at the moment, I'm saving them on my computer, so I can print them out and take them with me to Peru. Do you think it's bad to bring a story of Catholic priest!Jensen sinning with Jared to a facility that is more or less ruled by the Catholic church? *g*
