I swear, if my roommate doesn't kill his mom, I will. To explain what she did now, I'm gonna have to dig a little deeper. It's about my roommate's telephone. As I said a few entries ago, it's broken. Quite literally -- the keys are missing, he dials with a q-tip wrapped in aluminium foil. Or he would, if he could actually call someone, which he can't because either he or the guy who lived in his room for half a year put a block in it that he doesn't know how to take out. He can be called, though, and he uses his cell phone to call people. Now, that wouldn't be my thing, I'd buy a new phone already, but whatever. It works for him. His mom, however, is convinced that it needs to be fixed (apart from being convinced that he puts in the block just when she's visiting) and apparently called someone from the Telekom (our phone company, the actual phone is also from them) to come by and fix it.

Now you need to know that I came back to our apartment after the few days of Easter vacation at my parents' house just about an hour ago, and I knew nothing about that guy coming. I'm guessing my roommate didn't, either, since he's been in Sweden for the last few days, and I don't think he ever contacted his mom from there. They're not exactly on speaking terms. His mom, meanwhile, has gone home. From what the Telekom guy said I could just about decipher what it was he was here for.

Of course that guy took one look at the telephone with the missing keys and said that he wouldn't do anything about it. In fact, he said, he should charge 40 Euros for the drive and another 25 Euros "just for the hello", but he was gonna pretend nobody was home and left a note for my roommate.

Really, that woman... This all (plus the major argument between her and my roommate that I'm sure is coming -- again) could've been avoided if she'd just stayed out of it. She's a nice person when you talk to her, usually, but then she goes and does something like that and you think, well, no wonder her relationship to her son is so fucked up.

The internet, by the way, that he supposedly turned off is running again. Before he's even back from Sweden, imagine that.
