lesser forms of filth

i have had the most frustrating day, but luckily i had movie night with needsmoreyellow and finally rewatched the boondock saints for the first time in like a year, and oh my god. the frustrations just MELT AWAY. opinions are so divided on this movie (most film buffs i know think it's dumb af) but i think it's just so funny and cheesy and silly and dark and a masterpiece of cult cinema and everything it needs to be and it always makes me feel better. connor and murph are such fucking idiots and they love each other and look after each other and kill for each other and NEITHER OF THEM CAN DO AN IRISH ACCENT TO SAVE THEIR LIVES...........BUT THEY ARE MY SONS

did i download a saints icon just to make this post, i sure did.

sam and dean and connor and murph are very different sets of brothers--the winchesters have an age difference, the macmanuses are twins, the winchesters suffer from lots of wariness and silence, the macmanuses absolutely do not--so when i watch the boondock saints i always think of sam and dean and wish they could have some of the weird, flailing, crazy brother shenanigans that keep the macmanuses so close (i would kill to see sam and dean get in a slap fight inside an air vent, ok??? and don't get me started on cauterising each other with hot irons, mmm). but at the same time i'm glad they're so different because it makes them all so lovable in so many different ways.

sam and dean would have been 16 and 20 respectively at the point when connor and murph got started and i just love imagining them hearing of the twins and admiring them <3

i'm sorry, i can't divorce brother feelings between separate canons. i just really love the macmanus twins. i love sam and dean. i love stupid hotheaded reckless dumbass codependent brothers across all universes.

if you haven't seen the boondock saints, what the fuck are you doing ?

i have to go find some macmanuscest. i hav e to. goodbye

the boondock saints, supernatural
