It's really funny you posting about this, because I just read the post-movie/pre-series crossover trilogy The Fed. Can't speak as to characterization for the BDS characters, as I'm one of the benighted that haven't seen the movie, but it's one of those crossovers that allows both sets of characters competence, which I always appreciate.
