Help, please!
Okay, so I'm working on outfits for my husband and I... and currently I have a workable outfit (well, mostly) for myself except for one very important thing: some sort of contraption to cover myself on the bottom so that I'm not arrested for public indecency. (A skirt! I mean a skirt!)
I just can't figure out what I want. I've got brown leather boots that I'd like to show off, so it'd need to be knee-length or so at least in the front even if the back trailed. I like that idea, but I have no idea how to go about it--I don't think I'm going to find anything like it at the thrift store and I can't find a pattern anywhere (I can't sew worth a damn without a pattern). I don't want anything really big/poofy since the outfit is supposed to be practical... I'm at a loss.
I promise I have a head and a face, I'm just self-conscious. BTW, the vest doesn't have buttons right now because my sewing machine is kind of lousy at buttonholes and I haven't been to use my mom's yet. :)
Who knows, maybe I should just wear skinny jeans and socks on the bottom...
So yeah, I basically came just to see if anyone could help me bounce some ideas around with the skirt, and see if anyone can see a way to improve what I've already got. Help, please? Pleeaaasssee?
