Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my latest posts to the Steam Wench's Salon. I've been doing some how-I-did-it posts on Quick and Dirty steampunk costuming, to show that you don't have to break the bank or have mad sewing skills in order to create your own unique Steampunk garments.
My latest two posts involve modifying a thrift store vest to give it more steampunk flair:

To come up with this:
I took this plain wonky hat, added white lace trim over the grosgrain ribbon, keeping the bow at the back,
And made an ornament from old watchparts, semiprecious beads I had to hand, and clock hands I found on sale, to make this:
