October 23, 2010 | Downtown Decatur, GA
It is a fact that in 1892, Professor Samuel Cogwheel - a traveler in time from a parallel London decided finally once and for all without a shadow of a doubt that beer was a good thing. In fact, it was very good. The best damn thing in the universe - heck, some people even ran their time machines off of the stuff. So it was, on a fateful October 23rd, that Professor Cogwheel set forth in his time craft to the dawn of civilization 8,000 years ago to the hills of Mesopotamia to taste the very first booze ever made. He walked many miles through fields of golden hops and barley until he came upon a small village of slightly uptight Mesopotamians...they were starving.
The Professor was amazed - these people lived in the middle of plenty and yet they thirsted for something to fill them inside and make their boring lives brighter…happier…sexier and possibly even a little blurry. Unfortunately they thought that the Professor would make a good meal, properly cooked over a low flame. Understandably distressed, the Professor offered to show them how to make beer.
The Mesopotamians gratefully accepted this wondrous information, made the first batch of beer, and drank it to their utter delight while they prepared and cooked the Professor over a low flame before eating him.
It is because of Professor Cogwheel and his contribution to the creation of beer that AnachroCon proudly announces AnachroCrawl!
