I finally, finally have caved in. I've seen a few larp steampunk posts floating around and I'd like to post my Changeling larp character.. She was a disgruntled(aren't they all?) Knocker, the mechanics and diyers of changeling. They can literally build anything and are quite McGuyveresque. (We created a catapult to launch flaming chairs and ( Read more... )

Great outfit - I like the waistcoat especially.

Although:
A hindu/british mage who masquerades as a worshipper of Brahman but truly worships Kali and works for the bad guys

You really should look into your mythology a little more deeply. Kali's not an evil deity...unless you get all your mythological information from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. She's a complex and fascinating goddess and will reward your research amply should you decide to look into it.

Haha, I've done a world of research. Kali isn't quite evil but she is a goddess of some not-so-good things sometimes. She is generally represented as a dark, violent but yet benevolent being though. My character believes that she's doing Kali's will by aiding the Inconnu(bad guys) by helping bring about the worlds destruction, thus purging it of it's sin and allowing it to start anew, taint free.

Does that make alittle more sense? (Most people who aren't well versed in hindu myth also believe Kali is evil, which is why you have to make it seem like you worship a more benevolent diety)

Makes much more sense, and good on you for doing your research. You would get to do some nifty time magic with Kali as a patron, no doubt. :)

And absolutely Indy movies are fantastic. Just very...American in their approach to other cultures.:)

Btw, I'm sorry if that seemed like a blanket statement.. bad guys = evil = Kali, since that is not quite the case at all.

However, You must admit that the Indiana Jones movies are damn fun. :P

The other thing to consider is that the setting is the World of Darkness. Pretty much everything will be slanted towards the more negative aspects, regardless of the culture. Loving the Nocker pc, makes me miss mine immensely.
