The Tyrannosaurus lay dead on the tracks somewhere between Didcot and Reading.

Clean-up and repair costs were estimated at £1.1 million, two hundred and seventy-six passengers had had be silenced with a frankly implausible story about a film set, and already blurry pictures were starting to appear online. But these were minor irritants that Jenny could easily deal with.

As it was disaster had been averted. Not one single person had been hurt in the anomaly breach. Alone in his office Lester began to laugh.

And all because the 20.41 Bristol to Paddington intercity express was running 17 minutes late.
