Years ago, I installed a 'doggie door' for my dogs. When the occasional cat joined the family and used the same feature, it was still a 'doggie door'. Does anyone here have experience with small-town life? (Say, under 5,000.) I'm beta'ing a story; our characters are staying in a cabin in the woods, grocery shopping in a nearby small town -- probably a local business, rather than a chain like Albertsons.
