As I compile all the examples I've done in the past fourish years for my dissertation, I encountered the epidemiological model that prompted this post.

I feel pretty much exactly the same way now that I did then.

Today I successfully solved a different model for use in my candidacy paper.

It is an epidemic model.

Everyone dies.

Math is fun!

This morning I was reminded why I love math so much (and perhaps used to love it so much more): each "field" of mathematics, be it topology, analysis, abstract algebra, whatever, is connected, sometimes obviously and sometimes vaguely, but it's all connected.
