Entry 009: Workout Jams.

Sep 03, 2011 11:48

Just figured I'd update a little and talk about music. But first I want to take the time to update a little.

I just came back from the YMCA. I finally did it, twice now. I did so yesterday as well. I think a lot of my adversity towards gyms is I feel like everybody is watching me, everybody is judging me. Everybody who passes me is thinking "Look at how fat she is"
I don't know. Maybe I have more self-esteem issues than I previously thought. Does anybody else feel this way sometimes, too? I feel like I want to invest in my own tredmil or eliptical or something so I could do it at home. It would save me on gas too since the YMCA isn't in walkable distace, and my SUV likes to suck my gas T_T'

Now onto Workout Jams. I don't know about you guys, but I'm a fan of any genre of music. If it sounds good, has some meaning behind it, I'm gonna like it. However since I've been pretty stretched when it comes to the time on my hands, my workout jam is pretty bare, mostly consisting of synthpop, industrial/Aggrotech, house, techno/trance, etc.
When I'm looking at music to workout to, I generally make sure it's something that usually stays within my pace.
So currently, here are some artists that are in my workout playlist:

1. Ayria
2. God Module
3. Aesthetic Perfection
4. OceanLab (a great band, seriously underrated, if you like trance at all I seriously suggest taking a listen.)
5. Wolfsheim
6. Fiona Apple
7. Assemblage 23
8. Otep (The older albums)

Looking further, there's a pretty nifty website that can help you find some good workout music. click here. You just plug in your pace, the genre you're looking for, and bam! a huge list filled with goodies.
But anyway, what kind of music do you listen to when you're working out?

weight loss, talking, health, motivation, inspiration, exercise, fitness, music
