Weirdly, them separating, that didn't break my heart as much as the betrayal and loss of faith in the first place. I just see the separation, Sam acknowledging he has a problem and Dean agreeing he's having a tough time of it all, as the first steps of them getting back to being brothers

I felt the same way about the amulet. It's the last link Dean has to the old Sam, and being without it now... gah, that's gotta hurt. :(
I just wonder where Bobby got it in the first place. Did God give it to him? Bobby gave it to Sam for John, which would make sense with John originally picked to be the "righteous man," then Sam gave it to Dean instead, and now Dean has given it to Castiel. They're all linked by this amulet, I love it. Poor Dean, though. No amulet and no Sam. He probably would have died outright if Sam had taken the Impala.
I doubt somehow that Sam will go to Bobby. He knows that Dean will hang around Bobby's side for a while, and it was being with Bobby that got them that case in the first place. So, no, I think Sam will strike out on his own. Which will be dangerous in and of itself. :-/

I SO TOTALLY WANT TO. I almost definitely will at some point, though probably not very soon. I'd need it to be epic, so I'll have to think about it for a while. :)
I doubt somehow that Sam will go to Bobby. He knows that Dean will hang around Bobby's side for a while, and it was being with Bobby that got them that case in the first place. So, no, I think Sam will strike out on his own. Which will be dangerous in and of itself. :-/
Yeah, plus I think Sam doesn't feel like he deserves Bobby's respect atm. I think he'll go off on his own and try to clean up. It's not the smartest move, but it is a very Sam move and the kind of thing he'd do. At least they both have each other's numbers. I'm sure Bobby will be checking up on Sam and reporting to Dean.

*nods* I felt at the end of this ep the way I did after they closed Sam in the panic room at the end of The Rapture...like it needed to happen. The boys have been thrown for a loop so many times between last season and this season I feel like they need some time to regroup...and being apart will make them realize how much stronger they are together *cues sappy music*
Ellen= WIN and Jo...even though I initially disliked her, once they abandoned that Dean/Jo flirting thing from ELAC, she grew on me. Glad to see them back and hope they stick around for awhile.
