Tonight we saw the Goran Ivanovich Group at The Garfield Artworks.  The band is sort of a Balkan fusion jazz quartet from Chicago -- traditional Balkan and Greek melodies with shades of Pat Metheney, Michael Hedges and System of a Down.   It  sounds unlikely to me too, but they were polished and tight and got a standing ovation from the 25 or 30 ( Read more... )
