Slim Cessna's Auto Club at 31st Street Pub

While I'm posting about music, might as well mention that this Friday, July 15th, Slim Cessna's Auto Club is playing at the 31st Street Pub. Slim Cessna = badass old-timey country revival music, punk-rock style.  The 31st Street Pub is perfect for them.  And there are other reasons to go besides getting roughed-up and heartbroke and redeemed by rock-and-roll.  Slim and his wife Victoria Cessna moved to Pittsburgh so their kids could study at CAPA.  The CAPA parent gossips say that even though the band's titular head lives in our fine city, they only play here two or three times a year because they don't draw big crowds.  In a city where so many people claim such deep punk roots, that's a sad shame....
