Still chuggin!!! My weight didn't change at all this month. I weigh myself once a month, and last month I was 69.1 k/ 152 pounds, and this month, I was.... exactly the same weight.
(i futzed with the contrast on the above picture because you couldn't see the left arm thanks to the lighting in that room!)
So yeah, my weight hasn't changed. But I think, comparing this month's pics to
last month's, that I've gotten some more muscle definition, I'm still kinda embarrassed posting my love handles for all the world to see, though. D-:
AND remember those pants I bought in
Month 3? My very first pair of Uniqlo pants? They're loose enough now that I think I have to get another pair, in a smaller size. :O
I work out every single day. I tried logging my workouts on Fitocracy, but decided it was too much hassle, so I just keep a workout journal instead. Looks like this:
I start the day with yoga on
Yogaglo-- I do it very first thing in the morning most days. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE doing yoga first thing in the morning! It is the best possible way to start the day. I float out the door to work, content. Seriously, you should try it.
Then, when I come home from work, I wash my hands and face and change into my workout clothes immediately. No time for lollygagging! It's time to work out! I do a workout or two from one of three Beachbody programs--
Insanity,
TurboFire, or
Les Mills Combat, whatever I'm in the mood for that day.
And I have just gotta say that I feel absolutely fantastic!!!!! I know this sounds so lame and hokey, and I'm sorry, but... honestly, even when I'm just doing mundane things like waiting for a train or grocery shopping or something, I'm happy because it feels so GOOD to be in my body. At bedtime, I fall asleep immediately and wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed because I can't wait to get to my yoga mat!
Climbing stairs is no big d-- at School A I have to climb a billion stairs every day, but I can practically sprint up them because my body feels so light and I feel like I've got springs for legs! :3 And I'm a LOT less stressed.
This happiness has carried over into my personal and professional life too. I think I'm definitely a better teacher now than I was before I started this whole fitness journey. And I know I yell at RooG a whole lot less too. :)
tl;dr: Life is pretty damn good right now!!!!!!! :-D Best ever, I think.
BUT, and there's always a but, my awesome cousin Erin will be coming to visit us for two weeks. She arrives on Monday. of COURSE I'm happy/ excited to see her, but I'm a little nervous because my schedule will be interrupted, and because we'll only have two weeks to eat ALL the delicious food Japan has to offer! Hope I can at least minimize the damage for those two weeks. :3 At least we'll be doing a lot of walking.
