Hi!

I'm so with you on the House being right all the time thing. They are going to turn him into Jessica Fltcher...Perry Mason...Columbo....Matlock...that doctor from Diagnosis Murder....at this rate. All suprememly annoying characters, because they are always right.

I really, really wanted him to be wrong about Cameron, at least.

I only hope that this is perhaps a setup for him to be wrong later. He needs to be wrong, I think. Or maybe I just need him to be wrong. I mean Ultimately wrong about SOMETHING. Not the kind of wrong where he's smugly right later.

Ah his eyes....okay, I'm back now. :)

I also enjoy your smut fanfic very, very much. :D

ITA with your comments here. I did not think Cameron was poorly written this episode. I think she is being crafted as a strong counterpoint to House, as the one who feels that the patient is more important than the puzzle ( ... )

I think she is being crafted as a strong counterpoint to House, as the one who feels that the patient is more important than the puzzle.

Like I said on another post, I essentially agree with the content of what Cam was saying. It was the semi-hysterical way she was saying it, that put me off. (Though I still blame the writers/directors, not Jen's acting).

death of each individual does matter and deserves attention was a good one -- well written and convincingly delivered.

Well, she actually said this of 'good' individuals. She could've cared less if anyone noticed Clarence's death. In fact, I think House had the right of that - all patients are equally deserving of treatment, not just the 'nice' or 'good' ones. But obviously people's opinions will vary...

Cameron and Wilson are meant to stand in stark contrast to House (Stacy also to a lesser extent).

ITA on that.

Perhaps we are seeing the beginnings of another ship?

Could be. And I do heart Wilson. But I'd rather he be single before I start shipping him with someone (other ( ... )

Yeah, it would be nice for House to be wrong a few times. I was especially ticked with his treatment of Cameron and her turn down the road of mushy, spineless, doormat. I would write on the board if I damn well pleased! I tell you, I would take Dr. House down a few pegs and I think Cameron should too. He's just a little too smug for my taste.

mushy, spineless, doormat.

*puts finger down throat and retches, before grabbing a chainsaw and chasing after canon-writers, shouting: "NO! BAAAAAAAD CANON WRITERS! NO BISCUIT FOR YOU!!!!!"*

Ahem.

Yeah, did NOT like the nastiness towards Cam. Although I'm suspecting we'll see that for a few more eps, until SPOILER, HIGHLIGHT TO READ: he sees another doc hit on her and he goes all crazy-jealous

I agree with all the points you said, except for when you said,"I am mystified, also, as to why House didn’t seem to care all that much about testifying at Clarence’s trial."

I don't agree with that for some reason, because Foreman asked House if he had an opinion, and House said he did. He also had a strange expression on his face, as if he were thinking about it. I don't know. I think House does care...to an extent?

I'm not sure...

I think House did care, but he cared more about the ethical and emotional growth of Foreman in this episode. Foreman was in many ways the key to this story and so it was essential that he make the jump to understanding and acceptance of Clarence.

So House cares about Foreman coming to grips with difficult issues of race and society that he may have been thus far reluctant to face in his own life.

Possibly...

I think that's what didn't add up for me. We know that House DOES care, so why didn't he step up when needed, to possibly save this patient's life?

they need to stop fucking up her character irreperably.

Totally agree. If they make House fall for Cam in spite of The Wimpy Factor, then they've sabotaged two characters - her AND House.

doesn't always have to be right about EVERYTHING.

Exactly! What, exactly, would have been wrong about Cameron being proven right for once?

Why the fuck would you put such a funny scene into a PROMO, and then delete it altogether?

I guess they figured it was too comedic to keep in the ep. *shrug* Oh well, at least I have it immortalized for all time in a promo on my HD.

I KNOW that you can't move THAT much in those things

As I said, I'm not sure about scans of other body parts (anyone in the know, feel free to correct me), but I know for brain scans you HAVE to be motionless, so it seems to me at least some stillness from the subject is required, even when scanning other areas of the body.

Yes, I still enjoyed many moments (that 'Chase has a pretty mouth' line made me pee my pants a little) of the ep, and MY GOD, THOSE EYES!!! *thud*

Um, hello, where was the scene where House falls flat on his face after getting drunk with Clarence???

Those were my exact words. Well, those, slightly punctuated by expletives. Why the fuck would you put such a funny scene into a PROMO, and then delete it altogether?

Apperantly I missed that Promo. Do you know where I can find it?

Do you know where I can find it?

If you search the first page or two on the house_md board, there's a user named marykir who has a whole website full of House promos and clips, usually YSI or Megaupload....dunno which exact one has the faceplant in question, however....

I mean come on what the hell are they doing to Cameron?

Apparently, they're sabotaging her for the purposes of injecting drama into the show....blegh. Icks.

other than giving House something else to be right about.

And to make her look stupidly/wimpily obsessive. Icks x2.

MRI's of my back to count and if my leg even twitched they had to redo it

YES! I knew that was the case for head MRIs, wasn't sure about other body parts, so I'm glad for the confirmation.

The tattoo thing is a bit harder to say, I have several tattoos. Most of them are fairly large and I have never had any problems. There's a show on the Discovery Channel called 'Mythbusters', and there was one show where they made a bunch of mixes of tattoo inks, many with far more iron in it than anything you'd ever see in an actual tattoo, and put them in an MRI machine...and saw nothing. And then they also tested the machine with an actual member of the cast who had tattoos. Maybe the medical establishment hasn't actually woken up to that fact, yet, even IRL. *shrug ( ... )

Thanks for clearing that up for me they always warn me before I go in, and it always freaked me out. I'm like oh dear God my angels are going to be ripped right off of my back or something LOL.

As far as I recall, they didn't see any effect. But this *is* a TV show, not a scientific paper or anything, so I suppose it's not as 'scientific' as it could be. But the proof is in the pudding, as they say - you've never had any ill effects.

And so many people have tats these days, if everyone who needed an MRI got their tats 'ripped' or burned off, I think there'd be a major public uproar.

I have no tats - I have issues with needles. And permanence. Heheh.

Those eyes make me want to hand him my panties

Actually, I want to change that. I want to hand him my panties....with me still in them. Take me to the supply closet and 'cure' me, Doctor House!!!! Sexual healing! w000t w000t!
