Hi!

I'm so with you on the House being right all the time thing. They are going to turn him into Jessica Fltcher...Perry Mason...Columbo....Matlock...that doctor from Diagnosis Murder....at this rate. All suprememly annoying characters, because they are always right.

I really, really wanted him to be wrong about Cameron, at least.

I only hope that this is perhaps a setup for him to be wrong later. He needs to be wrong, I think. Or maybe I just need him to be wrong. I mean Ultimately wrong about SOMETHING. Not the kind of wrong where he's smugly right later.

Ah his eyes....okay, I'm back now. :)

I also enjoy your smut fanfic very, very much. :D

ITA with your comments here. I did not think Cameron was poorly written this episode. I think she is being crafted as a strong counterpoint to House, as the one who feels that the patient is more important than the puzzle ( ... )

Like I said on another post, I essentially agree with the content of what Cam was saying. It was the semi-hysterical way she was saying it, that put me off. (Though I still blame the writers/directors, not Jen's acting).

death of each individual does matter and deserves attention was a good one -- well written and convincingly delivered.

Well, she actually said this of 'good' individuals. She could've cared less if anyone noticed Clarence's death. In fact, I think House had the right of that - all patients are equally deserving of treatment, not just the 'nice' or 'good' ones. But obviously people's opinions will vary...

Cameron and Wilson are meant to stand in stark contrast to House (Stacy also to a lesser extent).

ITA on that.

Perhaps we are seeing the beginnings of another ship?

Could be. And I do heart Wilson. But I'd rather he be single before I start shipping him with someone (other ( ... )

I think that the actual content of her dialogue was fine - the fact that she stood up to House was cool. I think what I really objected to way the strident, overly-emotional way she was doing it. In 'Heavy', she was angry with him, but she came across as more rational and reasonable, even though she was angry.

Her, she's angry, and she comes off as irrational. And that's not a good thing, when dealing with House. Oh, not that she didn't score a few gouges in his armour, as evidenced by those 'blank' looks he gave her a few times (always a sign of deep thought on his part, as you know), but she really came across in a fashion that I found most grating, and which detracted greatly from the overall points that she was trying to make.

I WANT to like Cam, and when I have a hard time doing so....bad sign.

She took the time to verify the diagnosis while trying to cause the patient as little pain as possible (doing that one procedure before the biopsy). What angered her was that House was taking priorities w/ the patients, and although ( ... )

God, I hope so...

what's going on in TB or not TB?? ;D

SPOILER, HIGHLIGHT TO READ: This famous doc (works in Africa, I believe) winds up a Dx Med patient. He shows an interest in Cam, and House apparently starts to go all crazy, much like he was with Mark in Honeymoon. Some have argued that it's not due to him getting jealous of the thought of Cam moving on, but I beg to differ. But that's not for another few eps, so we'll have to wait and see.

House being right all the time thing

Yes, I surely wouldn't mind if someone else got the same answers as him, and that they came to realize it was the 'truth' together sometimes. Or that someone (as was the case with Cam in this ep) applies his methods to their own cases, and it works out in the end!!! Isn't that just another away to support House's sleuthing methods, if they can be tranferred to another person, and yield results?

I really, really wanted him to be wrong about Cameron, at least.

Me, too. It would've made up for the fact that she was really getting too emotional. Not just with the patient, but also when Cam and House were interacting...

I mean Ultimately wrong about SOMETHING. Not the kind of wrong where he's smugly right later. Agreed. Despite what some people want to think, House IS fallible, and it's high time a patient or two proved to be a puzzle he just couldn't solve. 'Histories' and 'Babies and Bathwater' were close, but in the former case he got the correct Dx, but too late to treat it, and in the latter ( ... )
