[A rather tall man stumbled out of the shadows that graced the alley between two buildings. The former general had been nearly certain that when everything had vanished into the that suffocating darkness that he would never see any light again. The fact he had somehow been released from it or somehow had managed to escape was overshadowed rather

As much as he hated to admit it, there was no mistaking the guy for anybody else. But...how?! Zack ignored the logic that told him that Cloud didn't remember going to Nibelheim, so of course it was totally plausible that Sephiroth would be walking around as fresh as a daisy.
But still! He couldn't - this didn't - ]

How did you get here?!

I do not know. Before Midgar and the rest of the world was beset by strange shadows and unexplained darkness, I was to head for Modeoheim to investigate something there.

It is good your friend made it as well then, I wouldn't wish staying behind in that on anyone. [The sensation of utter silence, lack of light...being unable to even breathe was still there in the back of his mind when he thought of it and likely would linger there for a while yet. At least until he had something to do with himself that would let him forget his last moments on their world.]

[Which just sent him down a train of thought he wished he wouldn't go down. Would Aerith make it out? Kunsel? Cissnei? At least he had Cloud here. And now an apparently sane Sephiroth.]
You're in Traverse Town, right? Have you run into any Heartless?
