I forgot to post this on my LJ last night, but my updated Costuming Myths: Busted class info I presented at the Ren Symposium is now online.

I didn't put in the info on "princess seams" yet, but it will get in there soon. I just need to figure out exactly what to say.

Well, I've been working on the Costuming Myths stuff, updating some of it, and adding in more info. Recently, in a particular online article written by a particular costuming laurel, I read her comment that doublets never lace up the back. Ok, I know that most garments like doublets, jerkins, and gown bodices do not lace up the back, and am finding such back-laced garments are more commonly found in modern theatre or ren-faire, than is seen in ( Read more... )
