My thoughts on the latest LJ thing

... about cross posting to FB or Twitter.

I've got a Dreamwidth account already so if I have to move, I will.

But I will give LJ a little time to correct this problem that they have created first. Until then, if I lock this journal for any reason and find out that comments to that entry have been crossposted to FB or Twitter, either by auto-posting, or by folks clicking on those check boxes on purpose, that said friend shall be removed from my friends list.

Yes, I have FB, and I often crosspost my open entries to FB, because I want my friends to know about these entries. However, I often want to post something private to LJ friends only (sometimes to certain friends), and in those cases I do not want comments being spread about to public forums. Please respect my wishes on this.

I will do the same - actually, I do not plan to ever cross post comments to FB or Twitter (I don't do tweets), and my account is not set up for autoposting to either.

This doesn't apply to my sewing blog (lj user="kimikosews">, which is a public blog and is meant to remain public.
