Tonight I heard from our Baroness that in
today's helicopter crash near North Fork, a gentle man I knew by the name of Thomas; Lord Thomas of St. Brenden's according to the OP, was killed when it went down. Here is
his photo.
To me, he was the master of baklava, as that was the first incredible pastry of his I enjoyed. He was good at all sorts of baking, and shared his knowledge of how to make them right. I think he was also into brewing, tho I never tried it. And he was a fighter, a really good fighter from what I saw, and yet he was not one to brag of any of his skills, or come across as a "fighter type", which is why I think of him as a baker more than a fighter. Although more often than not he was in armor, or wearing his basket pack of armor. He was a good gentle man, a good friend to all he knew, and he will be sorely missed.
Rest in Peace gentle knight.
Edit: The Fresno Bee had a little more, but their articles are not permanent. Here's the blurb on Thomas:
"Stolberg was a long-term seasonal employee at the Region 4 office. He helped out in all sorts of ways, including deer counts, deer captures and bear-tag validations. Baker said he was well-liked and often brought baked goods to share with co-workers."
