Painfully true comedy.
Ok, the Comedy Central show The Dailyshow with Jon Stewart is normally full of laughs, and good hearted humor in dealing with the latest news, especially as he throws definite zingers at the antics of everyone in the news, including Obama.
But I am watching the episode from last night, which if you missed it, you really, REALLY should watch it, as Jon goes after Jim Cramer from CNBC about the Wall Street fiasco, and how CNBC as a network seemed to be supporting the lies in order to support Wall Street people, instead of doing real investigative reporting on the financial issues that screwed so many people over.
It is painful in some ways to watch, but in other ways it is about time some light get shone onto these shills selling, as Jon put it, snake oil as medicine. And no, not a lot of humor about it, but cheers to Jon anyway. It also speaks volumes that more people are getting more accurate news info from a COMEDY show than they have been from network news organizations.
