But... it was written by 20 different women, who did not all agree on some things, and nothing was dealt with in any real depth. My thing was, there is something there I am not getting, that I wasn't seeing with my body type and coloring. Yes, I do agree that they do offer a lot of great advice every episode, but for me... I wasn't seeing people of my color or shape getting a makeover by these people, so it wasn't sinking in what would work for me. With their books I did get a better sense of proportions, and it's been awhile since I read their book (which I need to get out again), so I am seeing some things that are working, or not working for me. But it is the fine details now that I want to hone, and I am also trying to figure out what general styles I do or don't like at this point.
And I used to tivo them in my sewing room tv, since the kids or husband watch things in the main room most of the time, but then they would run those marathons of shows, and I would run into overflow with no time to watch them all, and ended up watching ones I had seen already. So I dumped the setup. I just couldnt' sew and watch them at the same time, because I actually had to *watch* them.
