Ouch, I give, I give!

I just cut, by regular shears, ~16.67 yards of 1.25" white silk bias tape to use as my binding (original is a 0.25" finished edge on the right side). I went with the silk because it came from my stash. I thought it was washed and clean, which it was... but now there are some stains on it so I have to wash the stuff tonight and then get the binding started tomorrow.

I used margospatterns' Underpinnings info on how to do the continuous binding strip. It does generate a lot of tape using a small amount of fabric (mine was a large scrap maybe a quarter yard or so), but I don't like all the ends I have to deal with now. Usually, I just cut a few pieces of bias at a time, using a rotary cutter and ruler, mainly because I don't need a lot. But this bodies looks like it will need more than I usually deal with. And what's left over will be put away for another project.

My fingers are still cramped, so off I go to do some reading.
