Reproduction item on eBay
If anyone on my list is interested in a reproduction tailor's "ell", what looks like a yard stick, only for an "ell" length (45") and with brass fittings. It is as described in Janet Arnold's Pattern of Fashion book. A person I've known on h-costume for years is selling hers. She's moving onto other things (she used to be heavily involved in historical embroidery and sewing).
I thought seriously about buying it, but as I don't play a tailor at faire, nor would use it at an SCA event, it is of limited use to me. So, I hope someone here has an overwhelming desire for this nice reproduction piece.
