So, here's the fabric...

... And, ok, the color is growing on me, but it isn't an instant favorite with me. Like I have mentioned before, I prefer jewel tones for fabric colors, and this one is not a jewel tone.

So, I uploaded pics of the fabric, along with the proposed trim (leftover from the big client project) so you can see what I am talking about. I didn't dig out the black velveteen that may also trim the front and hem, which may add some punch to the fabric, at least with strong contrast.

And I can't tell if it was the dye or the fabric, or both, but the shade shifts in color, with some areas more blue, and others having a stronger green, with hints of yellow tones. Heh, changeable silk, without weaving it that way.







And from the Costume #41 Journal article on Queen Elizabeth's gifts, the color is between a "sea green" and a "watchet blue", so it is a period color.
