My client has his frock coat, and is on his way with his friends to ICC... and now I sit here wondering... what shall I do next?
I think I shall take tonight off from anything sewing, and do some computer stuff that I need to do.
Or shall I just veg in front of the tv with my sick son? Yeah, sick again, with a 101.1 temp right now (and that's after Tylenol was taken). So then what do I do after the kids go to bed?
{time passes}
Ok, kids in bed, and we are vegging with saved TiVo shows. Last week's CSI was just creapy, and now we are watching ER.
I want to do some blackwork embroidery, and I have a slate frame ready to accept it. But no linen yet. That's on its way from an eBay bid. I still have to figure out which historical pattern to use. I plan on making a partlet, and I know it will take time to work on.
Hmmm... why not look at my list of things left to do.
• Make forepart with matching foresleeves (with fake puffs) for my Tudor
• Make gift for outgoing Baroness
• Finish new French hood (optional)
• Finish loose kirtle (binding, eyelets, hem)
• Refit Tudor kirtle and gown
• Make the frock coat
Well, everything that is left to do, is sewing stuff. And I want a break from my sewing.
So, let's make a list of things I need/want to do now that isn't sewing related.
- clean my living room
- clean my kitchen/dining room
- clean toy room
- work on first scribal project for my self (practice piece)
- blackwork embroidery partlet
- clean and reorg my sewing room
Wow. More cleaning than anything else.
So, since I have a lot of cleaning to do, I think I will concentrate on that first. Then next week I will consider doing other things. And my linen should be in by then.
