old costume fixups
Just a brief update on my personal costuming stuff. My old corset still fits, but it fully closes in the back now, or nearly. This means my bodice will fit, but may be a bit loose. Ah, well. I can deal with that this weekend.
The old hoop skirt has had three bones replaced with some new steel. The old steel is the buckram and double wire stuff... that was just a flimsy mess, with several permanent kinks in them. It's a fix for this weekend, as I fully intend on making a new complete farthingale, as soon as I can.
Well, back to my client's doublet sleeves. While the jewels are beautiful, the backs are difficult to get a needle through.
