As many of you know already, I have moved with my roommate Goldie to Rapid City, SD - about 12 miles into the Black Hills National Forest. We found an awesome 5 bedroom cabin to stay in for the next couple years while getting situated up here. I am very relieved to be out of the front range of Colorado. I moved there 4 years ago mainly to be close to my Mom till she passed which was last August. I thought she would be around for longer but 4 years was more then enough for me to endure living there and was already making plans to leave last year.
Ever since California moved onto the front range, Denver and the surrounding area, it just has not been the same. I grew up in Littleton, CO in the 70s and it still was a beautiful place to be. From the 90s to now, the front range Colorado has become an over populated arm pit and a sad excuse for it's reputation of days long gone. The 'John Denver' Colorado died along with him back in the 90s..... There are allot of good people in Colorado and California, so please do not get me wrong here....it's really about the pollution, over population, over development of land and over use of resources. There are many things I miss about the area but my health really suffered while I was there for the 4 years and directly attribute it to living there. I already, in just a month have noticed a significant improvement of certain things that were afflicting me before... as I had noticed every time I would leave the area for a show.
Regardless, it's all good.... These last number of months of moving prep cut into my creative time which was unfortunate and my heavy shows will be kicking in soon here... San Diego Comicon, Pennsic War, and the MN Renaissance Festival... Thus making my year again busy, busy, busy! But add to that.... I now have a gallery with Miss Goldie! Something we both have wanted for a number of years and now it pretty much fell in our lap last week. We just could not say no.

Yep, that's it...... and we are starting bare bones but both of us are more then excited and have the right attitude about it. Pictures will be posted soon, we are still waiting on signage and other minor details. Hill City is the premiere Art strip in the Black Hills and on Hwy 385, the main drag for the town Custer, Crazy Horse Memorial, Deadwood, the infamous Sturgis bike rally, and Spearfsh. The whole area is stunning, wild, and prestine! We are very fortunate to have this opportunity.
