Me: So I hear I'll be seeing you at Laura's.
Paul: Wed. I know the feeling of excitement u r having. I have the same feeling every morning when I look in the mirror.
Me: Ha. Be that as it may, I still have better boobs than you.
Paul: One operation can change that.
Me: Hmm. Well, that's...kinky.
What a week. I am getting too old to do two concerts in a row, but boy, am I glad I rallied. Wednesday night was Old Crow Medicine Show, Justin Townes Earle, David Rawlings, Gillian Welch, and The Felice Brothers at the House of Blues. David Rawlings is AMAZING. I mean, the whole show was great, but he's a virtuoso. Oh, and Benmont Tench from The Heartbreakers was on the keyboards all night. Awesome.
Thursday- Paul McCartney at Fenway. I was fortunate enough, since my cousin's company has a box, to see the show is luxurious comfort, which was nice given that HOB was standing room and my feet were unhappy. It was incredibly fun. Just a great, all-around entertaining show.
There may be more to say in the coming days regarding the strike and whether or not it's going to continue, but...we'll see. Other than that I am trying to deny that students will be moving back in three weeks from now. Sigh.
