Blue's smile was a mile wide as she practically sprinted out of the girls' dormitories and headed for the stairs that lead to the common room, her hand securing the hat that Silver had made for her to her head. It had been too long, far too long, since she had last seen the boy she had grown up with under the reign of a time-traveling, legendary-bird controlling, dark wizard, and she very much doubted they made Corridorsigil cards for such an occasion.
As she reached the top landing of the stairway, she noticed a very familiar mop of red hair looking at the stairs as if they were an elaborate puzzle. Blue grinned, only one boy concentrated at stairs like that.
Now for the dramatic entrance...
Blue took a step up onto the banister, knowing her skirt would stay in place because she spelled them long ago to always do that, and slid down the railing like a surfer.
It was only until about the third step down that she realized her bootlace was untied-
