So Easter is a few days away, the children are looking forward to chocolate bunnies and baskets full of candy. The staff room was already full of confiscated Easter eggs and toys.
Such a perfect opportunity for an insane Potions Master.
In the early morning, you may see Szayel lurking through the school, a massive basket full of Easter eggs that seems to keep filling itself every time it gets too empty. He sets them down wherever they would be easily found: on top of statues, in the middle of halls, on each desk in every classroom... if you're in Hogwarts, you're going to find an egg. Happy Easter!
