Aksel and I just returned from a lovely tour to London on Monday evening, April 5. Well, the weather was typically English for this time of year- rainy, a bit blustery on occassion, cool with the sun peeking out once in a while. The past few weeks have been a bit zanier than usual.  On October 10 I got the news that my mother was to have surgery on Monday, October 12-- I flew to Chicago the next day to see her through her ordeal, and to see that she was well-taken care of so I could get return to my otherwise more-or-less normal day-to-day.

Uncle Vagn’s birthday party this past weekend was a multi-day affair.

We left home Thursday afternoon.  We took the train to Hørning´, where we spent the night at the Larsen Family home.

Last weekend we went to Hørning to visit Aksel's parents, as well as brother Niels and his wife Gitti. We had a good time. On Saturday eveing Niels, Gitt and us drove into Silkeborg's Latin Quarter and ate at Restaurant Zorba, which was quite pleasant. We were back home on Sunday 6:30 PM.

The past week has been busy socially, the weather has been stifflingly hot during the day, and pleasant during the evenings-- there have been lots of long, lazy, lingering evenings on the terrace after dinner.  Family visited for several days, so there hasn't been a whole lot of time left over for anything else.  Work was slow because of vacation ( Read more... )
