Christmas Day update.

To continue with the backdates!

Christmas day!

In Japan the kids are still in school until about the 26th so I had to take the day off with my holiday allowance to get the day off. But it was worth it.

I previously ordered a chicken off of a website. (a whole chicken). You cant buy whole chickens here.... or turkeys. The turkey cost 3 times the price of a chicken so I stuck to the chicken. Anyway, I decided to make a full Christmas Dinner for Rin and me.

I got.... Carrots, Chicken, Potatoes, Sausages, and Broccoli. Thats the best I could get thats closest to a proper dinner here.

The chicken I did in a toaster oven, which took 3 or so hours. Japanese houses dont have ovens, they have toaster ovens that you use to make toast really... or to heat up a small piece of chicken etc. So this was a tough task.

But I made this! Pretty good looking to me. Though Rin did get all freaked out by the naked-ness of it. He wouldnt touch the thing and had to leave the room at one point when I was cleaning it.

So this was Christmas Dinner for me and Rin.

and it was perfect to be honest. Very tasty!

Complete with Martini Asti in Tiffany's crystal glasses.

With candles and my funky pink lamp that I got from franc franc.

Crystal Tiffanys Glass and the coasters got real flowers in it, I got it from Kyoto.

I got Rin to open the bottle of asti..it was his first time and it was hard for him to do so.

I forgot to mention that I got lots of presents sent over from mum and dad, and also Karen and the kids. It was great to wake up to christmas presents!!!

PRESENTS!

I got alot of stuff which I've forgotten at this moment. I should have taken pictures, oh well :P

I got presents from Rin too!

I got...a bracelet, phone strap with real flowers in it and two teddies. So I was happy.

The rest of the day was spent playing Biohazard Umbrella chronicals on the wii, watching Jumper and Nightmare before Christmas and well doing nothing. It was good, even if Jumper wasnt.

I also went to the bank and transfered money. Loving the exchange rate just now! It was strange to go to the bank on Christmas day, but thats Japan for you!
