A...surprising way to start 2009

Between Christmas and New year I went to Kobe to see my Japanese Teacher from Scotland and her daughter. It was fun but we only went for a day, which was tiring in itself as kobe is 3 hours from my house!!

On New Years Eve though, Myself, Kylie, Scott and Jason decided to go to Osaka to see what sort of new year merriment we could have :) This started with the trip to Osaka, meeting up with Chris and his friend, shopping for a lil bit and then meeting up with All the Auzzies from the uni.

So yeah, it was a weird day. We started at a Mexican restaurant as normal people...





Had a lovely meal

Had some great cocktails! mmm Strawberry Margarrita



Pretended to be drunk.





Wore a big hat



And left for more partying at around 9.00 :)

We went to the big bridge for some pictures



and I ended up having some cocktails with Kylie and Scott

Then went to a store where they sold character costumes



and convinced everyone to buy one :D

Which was empty at first

But was soon packed with us.

Before heading back the next day 2009 at 4am in the morning.

I got to my house at 8am...phoned mum and said happy new year before crashing out for the entire day. It was great.
