Well, it's Monday, but it's summer so I guess it's not so bad, lol.
Mama and Tara (my sister-in-law) returned from San Antonio, TX this morning. They went to see Randy's graduation from Air Force basic training. He's now in Mississippi, and will be for 14 weeks, for schooling and job training. Then he'll go somewhere else, I think another school in Texas, for 16 more weeks. So I'll probably get to see him in sometime in January. I didn't get to go to his graduation since I had finals last week. The job he chose has something to do with the electronics of the planes, running diagnostics or something like that.
My brother and Tara have been married for 10 weeks, the last 8 of which he's been gone. If he has to go to both schools, he'll return a few weeks before their one year anniversary. But at least he'll get to talk to her everyday while he's at school. Once classes are over for the day, he gets free time and can call. Which is more than anyone got while he was at basic. While they were at Sea World Saturday (dude, they got to go to Sea World which is like next door to the base), Tara's cousin called because Madison, Tara's almost five-year-old wanted to talk to Randy. So Madison started crying, which caused Randy to start crying, which I'm sure made Tara cry. I bet they were a sight, blubbering during Shamu.
It's kind of strange, but sweet, but her kids call Randy Daddy. After he left, Madison was crying and said that she missed Daddy, and Tara was like, "you'll see him tomorrow." Then Madison was all "but you said we can't talk to him," and Tara was all, "Huh? You mean Randy?" lol. Masson, her two-year-old who doesn't talk yet (he can say like 3 or 4 words), doesn't say Daddy, but when someone mentions "Daddy" he points to Randy's picture. He bought them each a teddy bear wearing camouflage. He tried to get Masson a shirt that said "My Daddy's in the Air Force" but couldn't find the right size. I think he's going look for one while he's in Mississippi.
I know it's late, but here are some picture from the wedding. They got married in February in Knoxville, Tennessee.
That's Madison in red. And our dad was Randy's best man.
And here are a couple from the joining of the families. I've never seen it done with sand before; I've seen this done with candles, but this was the first with sand. And you can see Masson in these as well.
Here's a picture of Randy in his Air Force blues. But the hotel walls were lime green, so his uniform looks like it has a green tint to it, lol.
Isn't Randy cute? I haven't seen him without hair since he was like 13, lol.
