Yey, new restos in Alabang :)

3 out of 4 Sundays I'm either at ATC or Festi eating at the same set of restaurants that my family patronizes. But every so often we find ourselves venturing to the north to satisfy our craving for our favorite restaurants.

One of my favorite restaurants is Fish and Co and their fish and chips (well, actually I substitute the fries for seafood rice) is probably in my list of top 10 favorite foods. Imagine my surprise and excitement when I saw a huge tarpaulin of Fish and Co when I walked past where Esprit used to be last weekend.

Then this morning I read the news that Pepper Lunch will open a branch in ATC. If you see me in Rockwell during a Sunday chances are it is through the prodding of my mom who suddenly felt the need to eat at Pepper Lunch. Aside from Pho Hoa and Omakase, that's probably one other restaurant my mom craves for occasionally.

Happy times for us southeners who no longer have to brave traffic just to have our food fix. :)

Hmmm... other restaurants I'd love to see in the south:
  • Aristocrat - yes, I know that there's Serye in Festi which is almost the same as Aristo, but Aristo is still Aristo. My dad loves the original branch in Roxas and I have lots of childhood memories of eating there.
  • Sentro - generally my mom has a rule that she won't eat at a restaurant that serves Filipino food since she can make the same dishes at home (except for Aristocrat and Max's). If they open a branch in the south kahit ilibre ko pa sya para i can satisfy my craving for their corned beef sinigang. If she still refuses to eat there then I can count on my friends to go with me.
  • Cafe Bola - Their flourless chocolate cake is to die for. This is comfort food for me and my sister. Be it adobo flakes or spicy tuyo or bangus belly with taba ng talangka rice or taro chips or spinach dips.
Uh-oh all this food talk has made me hungry.
