Work's finally done! YAY!!! The new computer system went live on Monday, and the transition went much smoother than we hoped.  No more paper system, a couple thousand donors got moved over painlessly, and the staff are adapting smoothly.  Still in LA, but the hotel is nice at least. The lady ahead of me pissed off the desk clerk, so he upgraded me to what would have been her room for free. It's freakin' sweet... because it's a suite! Panorama view (11th floor on the curved corner of the building), fully marble tiled bathroom... it rocks. Work stinks, and it blows I gotta fly back ( Read more... )

Once again, work sent me across the country, but here I am, just like a bad penny! ^.^

After scouring TSA literature for a while, I chanced taking both needlepoint and crochet on the plane, despite not finding acrylic hooks small enough for what I needed (the smalles I found was around 3mm). No problems, so that was a relief.
